Your phone is in your hand, the code never arrives, and the login screen keeps counting down. OTP not received on iPhone is often caused by iOS message filtering or carrier quirks rather than the app itself. Here are the causes and fixes.
Direct answer: If OTP is not received on iPhone, check the Unknown Senders and Junk folders, disable SMS filtering apps, verify the number format, toggle Airplane Mode, restart the phone, and request one new code after the timer ends.
iOS filters messages from unknown senders to reduce spam. Legitimate short codes can be caught in this net. Turning off filtering temporarily or moving the message from the filtered list solves it.
Send yourself a text from another phone. If it arrives, the carrier is fine and the issue is app-side or filtering. If not, contact the carrier. For repeated testing of OTP flows, a virtual number is a cleaner option than using your personal one.
iOS filtering, SMS blocker apps, wrong number format, or network issues are the usual causes.
To the Unknown Senders or Junk folder, depending on your settings.
Carrier routing and filtering. Wait two minutes and toggle Airplane Mode.
No, but confusion between iMessage and SMS can cause missed messages. Check your regular SMS inbox.
Use another verification method or contact the service and carrier.
When OTP not received on iPhone happens, check filtered senders and blockers first. For testing, get a number at SMS-COOL.
